Amazon Prime Day 2023 date

The eagerly anticipated Amazon Prime Day 2023 date has been confirmed, with Jeff Bezos himself announcing that the shopping holiday will take place on July 11 and 12. If that feels a little strange, that’s because this will be Amazon’s first ever Prime Day taking place in the middle of summer.

To help you save up for that dream PC upgrade, we’re covering Prime Day like never before. We’ve cataloged the best deals on hardware, laptops, monitors, and SSDs, and we’ll be showcasing all the day’s hottest deals on this very page, updating throughout the day and into the night.

Prime Day 2023 date

The official Amazon Prime Day 2023 date is July 11 and 12. Though this will be the third annual Prime Day, it’s the first time Amazon has scheduled the event in the middle of summer.

While Amazon’s device and accessory sales will be celebrated on Prime Day, it’ll also be a day for PC hardware, storage, and maker gear sales just as good. Amazon does, of course, sell its own devices like Fire, Kindle, and Echo, but it’s also a place to get fantastic deals on storage, networking, robots, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, monitors, gaming peripherals, and power banks, amongst other things.

Prime Day is sure to feature good deals on big, 27-inch and larger, 144 Hz or faster, 1080p displays from names like Acer, BenQ, Dell, and Samsung for less than $200. For gaming, look to do better on 4K, 60 Hz, and pay no more than $250.

Hopefully, Amazon will get in with good deals on gaming mice, keyboards, and headsets as well, and all from reputable brands with less than usual prices. Retailers like Newegg, Walmart, Best Buy, Dell, and Lenovo are all likely to have their own sales to compete with Amazon, so expect comparable deals just as sweet.

In particular, Newegg is worth keeping an eye on because it has a better selection of PC components, particularly internal parts like CPUs, RAM, SSDs, and so on. So if there’s something you’ve been waiting for, it’s worth considering how it’s available from Amazon and maybe making a pre-purchase just in case.

Prime Day deals investment

There are three ways you can take advantage of Amazon’s deals, and you need to be a member of one of them to redeem them.

If you’ve never been a member of Amazon’s Prime program, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial. After that, it’s $119 USD (around $149 CAD) every year, which includes free two day shipping, no minimum order size, unlimited access to Amazon Prime Video, and other benefits.

In terms of checking whether a deal is real, the Camelizer plugin for Amazon deals is your best bet, check PCPartPicker for price histories, and compare competing sites for better sales on the same product.

That’s all for Amazon Prime Day, check back on the biggest sales days of the year, like Steam Winter Sale, and take advantage of deals all year round. Also, if a new PC isn’t in your future, check out the best gaming TVs we’ve tested, like the LG OLED 4K 65A9P in our testing.
