Dragon Ball Super: The Strongest Characters

Given Frieza’s illustrious track record, being named the strongest Dragon Ball villain is no small feat. One of the series’ greatest baddies, he’s one of the most iconic and popular characters to grace the franchise.

Despite his history of losing to Goku, his long arc built him up as a threat to the entire universe. It took our Shonen protagonist and his friends just about every ounce of strength and determination just to overcome him on Namek. Yet, his resurgence in Dragon Ball Super has shown that he’s still able to reach new heights of power. Who can stand up to this galactic tyrant? Here are ten Dragon Ball characters stronger than Black Frieza.

Surprisingly, there are a few genuinely strong warriors in Dragon Ball Super. The newest era of the franchise has introduced many new characters that completely wreck the power scaling, going above and beyond what some of our favorites are capable of. To make things simple, this list won’t go into detail regarding ten individual characters in particular – instead, it will focus on one unique trait that gives Black Frieza a proverbial run for his money.

Dragon Ball Super: The Strongest Characters

Knowing Frieza’s backstory, one would expect him to be able to take on some of the biggest names in Dragon Ball. In truth, that’s not always the case, and even some lower-tier fighters give him grief. Here are ten Dragon Ball Super characters that prove just how overpowering they are compared to Frieza.

Champa

While the traditional end game Frieza vs Beerus is up there as one of the most intense fights of all time, the in-series version is rather less dramatic. To be fair, it’s hard to top the build-up of the Namek Saga arc, but when squaring off with the God of Destruction, one thing became abundantly clear – this was a battle between two supreme deities. While he may hold chalices to the thunder royal and Beerus, we can’t forget Champa, who’s still an almighty being in his own right.

The Ruler of the Sixth Universe is a fantastic fighter and has an untold amount of power lurking within himself. If it weren’t for Beerus making him chill, Champa would’ve wiped Frieza and Beerus’ heads, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he’s above the two for now at least.

Goku

Goku has been extensively trained, having been trained by King Kai, Kami from the Lookout, King Kai again, and Kaioshin himself. Still, few Dragon Ball Z heroes can match up to Goku’s astounding sense of resolve and natural fighting ability, channeling his power into something more potent than he’s ever known.
