Stardew Valley 1.5 Ginger Island Field Office quests

Need to know about the Stardew Valley 1.5 update? The latest version of the farming RPG game introduces the Island Field Office on Ginger Island. Repair Willy’s boat using hardwood, battery packs, and iridium bars to access the new location. Once you’re there, you can find all of the latest Stardew Valley 1.5 patch notes, as well as fossils, snakes, and much more.

The new Ginger Island Field Office location is available after repairing the bridge using ten Golden Walnuts, so make sure you have enough before heading to the location. You can obtain Golden Walnuts by completing the ‘Golden Opportunity’ quest given by the parrot who sits on the hilltop near the bridge. You’ll need to pay ten Golden Walnuts to the parrot to access the west side of the island, where all of the Ginger Island Field Office quests and rewards are available.

Ginger Island Field Office quests

You can unlock the Ginger Island Field Office by repairing the bridge with ten Golden Walnuts. The following quests can be completed on Ginger Island:

Collect all snake fossils

In order to access the Ginger Island Field Office, you’ll need to repair the bridge as mentioned above. In addition to this, there’s another reason to explore the island in great detail, as there are 11 fossils available on Ginger Island to donate at the Field Office. These fossils are all snake fossils and can be found on the west side of Ginger Island.

Pay ten Golden Walnuts to the parrot to access the west side of the island. You’ll likely notice that the entire area is covered in vines, so you’ll need to cut these using the scythe. It’s worth noting that you’ll also find some other items while cutting the vines, such as the mummified frog and bat.

Here are all of the snake fossils:

You can also find other large mammal fossils, such as the mastodon and reindeer remains. All of these fossils can be obtained from various locations on Ginger Island.

Break bone nodes

Open Golden Coconuts

Fish for fossils

Pan for fossils

Golden Coconuts can be obtained from Artifact Spots, palm trees, or by trading normal coconuts at the Island Trader.

How to get the mummified bat

You can find the mummified bat by breaking rocks in the Volcano Dungeon, but it’s going to take a lot of time and resources unless you know exactly what to do. Our Stardew Valley mummified bat location guide outlines how to obtain the mummified bat as quickly as possible.

You’ll also want to make use of a strong pickaxe and bombs to speed up the process of finding the mummified bat. You’ll need to claw through a lot of rocks and walls, so the stronger tools will at least make the process much faster.
