The new Digimon Card Game set, BT13 - Versus Royal Knights, introduces cards fans have been waiting months to see, including four coveted chase cards featuring protagonist Digimon in their powerful Burst Mode Digivolutions. If you’re a fan of the Digimon anime or a Competitive player, there are plenty of reasons to pick up the latest set.

While some of the Royal Knights are sure to shake up the meta, the most sought-after cards in the set are the ones you’d expect: Omnimon and Alphamon.

The battle between the Royal Knights and D’s-Crew continues in the new set, and Omnimon is one of the two Secret Rare cards. It also makes a key card for the Royal Knights deck.

The other Secret Rare is ShineGreymon: Burst Mode, which is considered the best deck in the set. Its ability to make the final hit in a match gives it an edge over decks that can’t do the same.

Alphamon makes a comeback with a new Digivolution line and max rarity cards that collectors will love. Magnamon’s golden armor and menacing appearance make it a popular card even for players not interested in the Royal Knights deck.

The most coveted alternate art, however, is surely Omnimon’s, due to its popularity and recognition among Digimon fans. Gallantmon’s new version can be used in tandem with older Gallantmon cards, which adds indirect support to their archetypes.

Rosemon: Burst Mode alternate art is a chase card that will increase in value over time due to its limited availability. MirageGaogamon becomes competitive with its Burst Mode version, making it a worthwhile addition to any collection.

Finally, Ravemon: Burst Mode introduces a new playstyle focused on card control but falls behind ShineGreymon in meta potential. It might be short-printed, making it harder to find compared to other Burst Mode cards.

This is just a small sample of the dozens of new cards in the set. If you’re a fan of the anime or a competitive player, there are plenty of reasons to pick up the latest set.
