One Piece's Final Saga: Returning Characters

One Piece is officially in its final saga with the conclusion of the Wano Country arc. This opens up the opportunity for long-forgotten characters to reappear and play a meaningful role in the Manga's conclusion. Characters like Gekko Moriah and Aokiji have already returned for the Marineford War, and Jora and Dola made appearances during the Whole Cake Island saga.

Here are some characters from past arcs that we'd like to see return in One Piece's final saga:

Gin

Gin joined the Straw Hats during the Baratie arc and told Sanji and Luffy he'd meet them on the Grand Line. However, he hasn't been seen since. Bringing him back in the Final Saga wouldn't even require any explanation, as he could have easily been picked up by the Kid Pirates at some point.

Arlong

Luffy's initial trip to the Grand Line began by defeating Arlong, the leader of the fish-man pirate crew. Although we technically saw Arlong again during the Fish-Man Island arc, it was only for a cameo. Additional exposition about the world could come from a return of Arlong or even Hatchan.

Bon Clay

Bon Clay sacrificed himself at Impel Down to become one of the Jailer Beasts and free Den-Den. It would be great to see him leave Impel Down and reunite with Luffy and the others.

Katakuri

Katakuri had a special relationship with Luffy and has the capabilities to play a strong new role in the Final Saga. If a more pure-hearted Katakuri found his way to Luffy and the crew, he may be grateful enough to help them out.

Smoker

Smoker hasn't seen any action since Punk Hazard and would make a strong addition to the Baratie rematch given his past with Zoro. We'd also get a father-son reunion with Ivankov.

Jaguar D. Saul

Jaguar D. Saul saved Nico Robin's life during the Ohara Incident. He's on Elbaf and should meet up with Robin when she comes home for the first time.

Enel

Enel, former leader of Skypiea, has relevant insight into the false history of the world. Whether he would warm up to the Straw Hats on re-meeting them is anyone's guess.

Big Mom

Big Mom and her crew have been dealt with at Wano Country, but Elbaf is still a land with unresolved ties to the Yonko. Having at least one reunion with Elbaf natives is a must-do.

Oda has already made efforts to end both Baroque Works and the Beasts Pirates, so we're not sure if the Straw Hats will see a return of these groups. However, the Final Saga is the perfect opportunity to bring back beloved characters and tie up loose ends.
