Its cousins, the predecessors we mentioned above, are still selling for hundreds of dollars, making this a steal at just $99.
The Razer BlackShark V2 Pro Wireless is an outstanding wireless headset for under $100. Much like its cousin, it offers the best clarity with games and music thanks to its USB connectivity and Razer Synapse software for audio mixing and profile setup.
With thick cushioned fabric on the band and ears, it feels like a premium pair of headphones and offers better breathability than most other headsets, which can become quite sweaty during the summer months. The fit doesn’t squeeze the head, instead offering a more comfortable fit.
The build quality, as you’d expect from Razer, is exceptional. Like the 2023 update of the same BlackShark, these are some of the most durable and sweat-resistant headphones you can buy. You can wear them during a workout or even a jog without having to worry about them breaking, or your ears getting sweaty.
The battery life is also pretty good, with around 2 to 2.5 days of heavy use before needing a charge. I don’t know about you, but that’s about as long as I’d want to go without using my gaming headset.
The on-board microphone is highly directional and requires proximity to the mouth, which helps in reducing background noise. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the microphone sounds, with a nice clean low-end response. The higher frequencies are a bit more processed, but nothing that’d be a dealbreaker.
