Warzone 2 Map: Players Demand the Return of the Classic

The Warzone 2 map you know and love (or perhaps, loathe) has been around for a good while now, but there’s a large contingent of players who would rather the game’s original map return. The classic map was only around for four months, but that hasn’t stopped players from expressing their desire for its return.

The original map was only playable for a short time during the FPS game’s first season and was replaced by Verdansk and Rebirth, but that hasn’t stopped players from wishing for its return.

“Bring back the classic map!” is the rallying cry from some members of the community, with the demand gaining significant traction among the free PC game’s players.

“Literally everyone on Discord, Twitter, and Reddit want the old map back,” one player proclaims, with another adding, “I want the old map back so bad. The gameplay felt so much better.”

Some players believe that the map as it exists now is suffering from a lack of identity or unique features, with others lamenting the loss of the nostalgia and familiarity that came with the original map.

“It’s a year later and I still miss the old map so much,” one player says, with another adding, “The old map was the best in my opinion. Can’t wait for it to come back.” The hashtag #BringBackClassicMap is trending among Warzone 2 players, and it certainly seems that the community is united in its desire for the old map’s return.

The original map was certainly distinct, with its own unique features and landmarks that players now miss. Whether the map will ever return remains to be seen, but this demand highlights just how important player feedback is to the developers.

Whether Respawn will listen to the desires of the player base remains to be seen, but we certainly hope that the developer takes note of its players’ desires. We’ll keep you updated on the return of the Warzone 2 map, so keep checking back with us for all the latest.
