Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 Absent from Showcase

Bandai Namco’s Anime Expo Summer Showcase provided updates on various anime games, but one notable absence left Dragon Ball Z fans disappointed. Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 4 was missing from the event, leaving fans longing for the next big game in the series. Originally revealed during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour earlier this year, Budokai Tenkaichi 4 sparked excitement among fans who have been eagerly anticipating a new game in the series for over a decade. Despite subsequent teasers, Bandai Namco has remained silent about the game, leading fans to hope for more information during the Summer Showcase.

The livestreamed showcase at Anime Expo featured updates on popular anime games like One Piece World Seeker and Naruto Shinkah Ninja: Kakashi’s Story. However, the absence of Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 4 left fans disappointed after months of rumors and speculation.

Twitter user @joshua_davison expressed their disappointment, saying, “Bandai Namco is holding their anime expo showcase and we’re all waiting for a new Budokai Tenkaichi 4 trailer. They’re showing off Naruto, One Piece, and even got Tekken Hajime to speak about Tekken 7. But not a single word about Tenkaichi 4.”

Another Twitter user shared their expectations, saying, “They’re gonna show a trailer of Tenkaichi 4 and then they’re gonna announce the anime game will be called Tenkaichi 4.”

Twitter user @shinydude expressed their desire for a new Budokai Tenkaichi 4 trailer, stating, “I wanna live in a timeline where the surprise was a new Budokai Tenkaichi 4 trailer.”

Popular anime insider PS360HD2 shared their disappointment, revealing, “The final game reveal was not Budokai Tenkaichi 4.”

Twitter user @the_lil_giant expressed their disappointment, stating, “I’m still disappointed there’s no Dragon Ball news, and now we’ve got a long wait since the initial Tenkaichi 4 announcement.”

With Anime Expo failing to deliver any Dragon Ball news, fans are now looking forward to an update on Budokai Tenkaichi 4 at the next Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour. The date for the next Battle Hour hasn’t been confirmed yet, but check back regularly for all the latest news.

In the meantime, you can check out the 15 seconds of footage that was released earlier this year or perhaps try one of the best anime games on PC.
