Asus' ROG Evangelion: 2.0 Collection
Asus' ROG Evangelion collection returns for a second round, this time focusing on EVA-02 and its pilot, Asuka Langley Soryu. The company teases an impending Second Impact, likely referencing the Anime's apocalyptic events that serve as the backdrop for Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (Not) Redo.
The first Asus ROG Evangelion collection debuted in March, featuring an Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo theme. The collection's name refers to the anime's 'A1-Class' incident, otherwise known as the Second Impact. The new collection continues the company's efforts to continue the Evangelion project for gamers.
Asus' ROG Evangelion: 2.0 collection includes various parts for a striking PC build. It offers a ROG Maximus Z790 Hero Eva-02 Edition motherboard, ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X OC EVA-02 Edition graphics card, and more.
Asus notes that the only difference between the Eva-02 Edition and regular ROG parts is the visual design. This means that the motherboard, graphics card, keyboard, mouse, power supply, and chassis all perform as normal.
The company also points out that it no longer includes an anime-themed display, which may suggest that the first collection's display was a one-off. I personally think that's a good thing, as I'm not a fan of the over-the-top anime aesthetic.
The collection's color theme reflects Asuka's fiery personality, something she shares with the Eva-02. Asus also emphasizes that this collection allows you to achieve 'levels of synchronization' with Asuka. Who knows, maybe she'll wink at you if you build a complete machine?

Asus' ROG Evangelion: 2.0 collection is visually stunning, and certainly appeals to anime fans. However, non-fans like myself can also appreciate the sleek, minimalist design.
