100 Thieves Founder and CEO Matthew ‘Nadeshot’ Haag has expressed interest in seeing the organization return to Counter-Strike

In a recent interview, the former professional Call of Duty player turned esports entrepreneur, Nadeshot, shared his thoughts on the potential CS:GO comeback and the current state of the FPS game as an esport.

Nadeshot expressed his longing for the competitive nature and excitement that comes with Counter-Strike and his desire to see 100 Thieves make a return to the game.

“I really do miss Counter-Strike,” Nadeshot said. “Obviously, I left, and I felt like we did a lot of good things when we were in it, and I feel like we helped grow the scene. I would love to see us get back in it.”

The former Complexity Gaming player acknowledged that entering CS:GO would require a significant investment and the need to build a strong roster. However, he emphasized that Counter-Strike is one of the most prestigious esports titles and expressed his eagerness to see 100 Thieves return to the game.

“I think Counter-Strike is one of the most prestigious titles,” Nadeshot stated. “I think it’s really important, and I think it’s such a great game. I would love to see us get back in it. I just want to be in it for the right reasons, and if we’re going to be in it, we’re going to be in it to win.”

Nadeshot added that the decision to return to CS:GO would be influenced by various factors and hinted at the possibility of some good news in the future.

While Nadeshot did not provide further details, his comments have already sparked speculation among fans and the esports community, with many eagerly anticipating the potential CS:GO comeback at 100 Thieves.

The organization previously had a CS:GO team in 2018, which included players such as Kory ‘Semphis’ Stockton, Chad ‘Pig’ Jensen, and Sal ‘Volcano’ Garazelli. However, the team was disbanded in the same year due to unforeseen financial constraints and other reasons.

If 100 Thieves decides to make a comeback, it would undoubtedly make a significant impact on the CS:GO competitive scene. The organization has achieved success in various other esports titles, including League of Legends and Call of Duty. Nadeshot’s passion for Counter-Strike and 100 Thieves’ strong brand presence could attract top-tier talent to join the organization.

While the timing and possibility of 100 Thieves' return to CS:GO remain uncertain, Nadeshot’s recent comments indicate that it is actively being considered. Ultimately, the decision will depend on the organization’s overall strategy and future plans.
