How to Beat the Truck Hermit Crab Boss

The Truck Hermit Crab boss battle can be found in the ‘Stormy Night’ mission. Once you dive into the vortex, Sato will appear to inform you about the vortex. It’s located close to the surface at a depth of 15m, and you’ll be able to enter the boss’s lair.

Once you enter the boss’s lair, you’ll find the Truck Hermit Crab waiting to attack. Your normal attacks won’t work against the boss due to its heavy truck body. Instead, pick up the red explosive barrels dropped by the boss and drop them on top of it to deal damage. Be cautious of the crab’s claws and falling debris from the ceiling.

At the start of the fight, the crab will move its claws back and forth. Wait for it to move its claws before dropping the barrel for maximum damage. You can see the O2 canister to the left of the screen.

Once the crab starts protecting its head, it will start moving its claws back and forth. Wait for the crab to move its claws before dropping the barrel. This will allow the barrel to hit the truck’s head, dealing more damage.

If you’re hit while carrying the barrels, they will explode and damage you. The crab will also start attacking you with its claws, so be as quick as possible when dropping the barrels. There is also an O2 canister to the right of the screen if you need it.

With precise timing and avoidance of attacks, this battle should be relatively easy. Dave the Diver may have more than just fish on the menu, but his sushi is still delicious regardless.
