The MSI Optix G271CQP is a steal at just $179 on Amazon right now, and it'll give you high-quality gaming at an affordable price.

Refresh rates are still a thing, and a lot of people will argue that they're worth the extra cost. Personally, I don't think you should pay extra for a higher refresh rate unless you have a 120Hz or 144Hz monitor, but I'd make an exception for this deal.

At 27 inches, this MSI Gaming Monitor is the best 1440p gaming monitor for smaller desks, and it'll give you more pixels and image detail than 1080p. Even if you have a huge gaming desk, I still think an upgrade to 1440p is worth it, and you'll be blown away by the difference it makes.

No, 1080p is dead, baby.

You don't have to take my word for it, either. Thanks to Amazon Prime Day, you can now enjoy high refresh 1440p gaming without breaking the bank. MSI is actually a pretty reliable brand in general, and this is one of its cheaper models.

I should point out that the monitor uses VA panel technology, which isn't as ideal for fast-paced gaming as TN or IPS. However, it still delivers quite a punch with a 1ms response rating.

In the past, VA panels were known for poor pixel response, but this monitor seems to solve that problem. It also boasts a 250-nit brightness, but that seems a little low at first glance. However, the VA panel's contrast ratio of 3,000:1 compensates for that, offering more vibrant colours.

If you want something a little more comparable, the Acer Nitro XV272U is just $10 more at $189.99 on Amazon. You'll have to act fast though, because it's currently sold out. Keep an eye out for restocks, because it's a good monitor as well.
