We’ve all been playing Half Life 2 lately and, while we wait for Half Life 3, we’re still thinking about the greatest FPS game ever. So when a video game character starts to look like an actor, you bet we’re going to talk about it. So much so that we’ve decided to make this a thing. We’re calling it the ‘Cillian Murphy caused by’ (CMb for short).

Yes, it’s already happening. A lot.

“So wait, is that Cillian Murphy?”

We’ll cut right to the chase. In a recent video by JackFrags, a character in a video game looks exactly like Cillian Murphy.

“Cillian Murphy?” I hear you ask. Yes, Cillian Murphy. Murphy is an actor, most famous for roles in Inception, 28 Days Later, and, of course, Peaky Blinders. But it seems that, among the community at least, he bears a striking resemblance to a character in the recently released video game The Great Library.

We’ll get onto the specifics of the character design in a minute, but first I just want to express my personal feelings on the matter.

“Cillian Murphy is Gman.”

Okay, that’s enough. I’ll calm down. Let’s get back to the Murphy-Gman connection.

It’s true, Cillian Murphy does look like Gman. Not only does he look like him, but he’s also like him, because he does voice acting for the game. But I’m sure that’s irrelevant.

Of course, because of the resemblance, people are quoting Half Life at each other.
