The Best Solasta Classes

Want to know which are the best Solasta classes? Creating four characters is a lot of work, especially for newcomers to the Dungeons & Dragons system. Thankfully, there are some standouts among the many options available, though you do need to strike a balance between them.

The best Solasta characters will excel in certain areas of the RPG game, with a well-rounded team including a front-line battle Cleric, supported by a Paladin, Ranger, and Wizard proving to be a winning combination. However, you may need to make sacrifices in one or two areas when creating your group of adventurers, so it’s good to have a rough idea of where your characters will excel. With that in mind, let’s take a look at the best Solasta classes and why they’re so great.

Here are the best Solasta classes:

The Fighter class

The Fighter class is your average, all-rounder class that doesn’t have any outstanding features. While this means you won’t be sorely lacking in any areas, it also means you won’t excel in any. Fighters are good at dealing damage, but other classes are better. They also lack any magical ability, meaning their utility is limited outside of combat.

Barbarian

Barbarians are powerful early on, especially when it comes to dealing damage, but they fall behind other classes as the game progresses. Their rage ability is great in the early game when you need to quickly deal with groups of enemies, but they quickly become obsolete.

Druids

Druids are versatile, as you’d expect from characters who can shape-shift into various animals and use both nature-based and arcane magic, but they also seem a bit redundant in Solasta. Some other classes perform the roles Druids can fill, leaving them with less of an impact in the RPG game.

Bards

As support characters, Bards are great at keeping the rest of your party alive and boosting the damage output of your other characters. They have some issues in direct combat, though, and can sometimes feel like dead weight during encounters.

Rogues

Rogues are great at being unseen and uncovering treasure, but their utility outside of stealth is limited in Solasta. There are plenty of opportunities for them to shine in combat, but other party members may be more capable in those encounters.

Warlocks

Warlocks are extremely powerful, but they are also extremely limited in their magic usage during battles. Their abilities are more suited to encounters that are separate from the main combat, such as boss fights, so they can unleash their most powerful attacks and abilities, leaving them less useful in regular battles.

Rangers

Rangers excel in both melee and ranged combat, making them well-rounded characters who can handle the vast majority of encounters. They can be a bit squishy in the early game, but their damage output more than makes up for this.

Sorcerers

Sorcerers are extremely specialized, capable of dealing high damage using fire and lightning-based attacks. They also have utility spells that make them extremely useful in combat and outside of it, making them a must-have class.

Paladin

Paladins are tanky, capable of soaking up damage and dealing it back at the enemy. They are extremely useful in fights against large groups of enemies due to their ability to cause damage to multiple targets.

Monk

Monks are formidable martial artists, capable of dealing heavy damage using their fists or their weapons. Their high dexterity and swift moves also give them an advantage when it comes to avoiding attacks.

Wizard

The premier arcane magic-user, capable of solving any problem using a vast array of spells. Wizards are great at dealing with enemies at a distance, and they also have a number of utility spells that make them extremely useful outside of combat.

Cleric

The best class in the game, the cleric excels in support, combat, and healing. The cleric is a must-have character in Solasta, especially in the early game when you need all the support you can get in the dangerous town of Glister.

So, that’s our list of the best Solasta classes. If you’re looking for something a bit different, we’ve got the best Solasta races too, along with a breakdown of all the Solasta feats.
