This is one of Olaf’s friendship quests, and you’ll need to reach friendship level seven, complete prior quests, and unlock Buzz Lightyear and Anna before you can complete this task.

To complete Disney Dreamlight Valley “The Role of a Lifetime” quest, you need to gather three High-Quality Papers and one vial of Purple Ink. You can craft these items using Softwood and Purple Marshweed, although the Empty Vial can be bought from Donald Duck in the hub, if you don’t want to spend time farming.
Once you have the items, head to the entrance of the valley to find Donald Duck. You’ll find Olaf there as well. Speak to Donald, who tells you that he has no interest in participating in Olaf’s production. Take the items back to Olaf, who is disheartened by the bad news. Return to Donald and suggest replacements, Anna, Buzz Lightyear, and Scrooge McDuck.
Talk to each character, except Scrooge, who declines. Update Olaf, who agrees that Anna is the best choice. Follow Olaf to Anna, listen to their conversation, and speak to Olaf to complete the quest.
