The Mysterious Golden Potato is a hidden item in Disney Dreamlight Valley, a relaxing life simulation game. Alongside quests and special items like the Dreamlight Pearls, the Book of Spells, and the Dreamlight Cat, you'll find the Mysterious Golden Potato in Scrooge's shop, behind the counter. This particular item was originally released through a special code hidden in a promotion image. Here's how to find the potato and what to do with it.
Obtaining the Mysterious Golden Potato
The Mysterious Golden Potato quest was initially available to those who discovered the code in the promotion image. However, you can now find it within the game itself.
Once you have the potato, head to Merlin's house. On the second floor, you'll notice a picture of a potato on the wall, accompanied by some numbers. Proceed to the mystical cave in Dazzle Beach, make your way to the second floor, and locate a table with a diamond-like shape. Place the potato on the table, and it will be exchanged for a Golden Carrot.
Transfiguring the Golden Carrot
The Golden Carrot is a unique item that can be used for transfiguration. Visit Elsa's home and place the Golden Carrot on a grey slab. It will then transform into a Golden Crab.
Finding the Golden Crab
The Golden Crab can be found on the beach in Dreamlight Valley. Head to the far end of the beach and speak to the Crab Seller to purchase it.
Obtaining the Golden Thorn
With the Golden Crab in your possession, return to the Dream Castle. On the top floor, you'll find a transfiguration stone slab. Place the Golden Crab on the slab, and it will be exchanged for a Golden Thorn.
Acquiring the Gleaming Gold Potion
Now that you have the Golden Thorn, go back to Merlin's house. On his desk, you'll find another transfiguration stone. Place the Golden Thorn on the stone, and you'll receive the Gleaming Gold Potion.
The Gleaming Gold Potion
The Gleaming Gold Potion is a special item that allows you to craft a Rainbow Potion. Although it doesn't provide any hints on how to obtain the Rainbow Potion, you can use the Gleaming Gold Potion to create one immediately.
