Battlefield 2042 Sales and Battlebit Comparison

Battlefield 2042 sales have been impressive, proving the game's popularity. Despite the success of Battlebit, which took six years to develop, EA should be concerned about the performance of Battlefield 2042 in terms of quality.

In a recent thread on the /r/pcgaming subreddit, a user expressed their delight for the Battlebit developers as the game sold nearly two million copies in just two weeks. They praised Battlebit for embodying the spirit of 'fine, we'll just do it ourselves,' and appreciated the refreshing departure from the typical arrogance of AAA developers.

However, Battlefield 2042 has faced criticism due to issues stemming from DICE. Many believe that the game's graphics are a convenient distraction from its lack of polish, offering little long-term advantage.

While visuals are important to most players, Battlefield One was highly regarded for its attention to detail and overall quality. Unfortunately, some feel that the Battlefield series has declined since BF3 and that Battlefield 2 was the pinnacle of squad-based cooperative gameplay.

Despite these criticisms, Battlefield 1 was an excellent game, and the absence of a Bad Company 3 sequel is widely considered a disappointment. In terms of longevity, some argue that Battlefield 2042 is a worthwhile investment due to its lower price point compared to other AAA shooters and its already established player base.

“There is no reason to be ashamed of Battlefield 2042's sales. The game is a success and will continue to thrive with proper support from DICE,” one user asserts.

Another user adds, “AAA developers should take note and compare Battlefield 2042 to Battlebit. Even when compared to BFBC, Battlebit falls short.”

Battlefield 2042 is available for PC and Xbox One.
