Pokemon Home Research Tasks
The Pokemon Home Research Tasks give trainers a reason to transfer Pokemon from their favorite 3DS games into Nintendo’s free-to-play platform. It serves as a convenient base to store their collections in one place. While completing the set tasks will earn rewards in the main game, there are no special prizes specifically for completing these tasks.
Completionist trainers will still want to complete all the tasks as there are multiple Pokemon tasks to go through. Each of the 19 Nintendo Switch Pokemon games has its own set of tasks, replicating the experience of transferring Pokemon from one game to another. To view all these tasks, players need to link their game to Pokemon Home.
All of Pokemon Home’s Research Tasks
You can find all the Research Tasks in the “Research” tab within the Pokemon Home app on your Switch. Each task requires the transfer of a specific Pokemon into your Pokemon Home box(es). The task also asks you to identify the Pokemon and the game or location it came from.
To receive credit for a Research Task, simply open the Pokemon Home app on your Switch, select your game, and transfer the required Pokemon into your box(es). The Pokemon must be caught in the corresponding game for the task to be checked off.
There are five sets of Research Tasks, each with a different number of tasks and requiring specific Pokemon from a particular region. For example, the Kanto set requires Pokemon from Red, Green, Blue, FireRed, and LeafGreen. The Galar set tasks involve Pokemon from Pokemon Sword and Shield.
