The Gex Trilogy is Coming to Modern Systems

The Gex Trilogy is coming to modern systems, bringing the first three games in the series to a wider audience. The beloved Gecko is making his return, with the announcements made as part of Limited Run’s showcase of older properties making a comeback. If you listened to the Enter the Gecko podcast, you’ll know how important Gex is to us – a wise-cracking, James Bond-inspired Gecko with a cult following from the nineties, there’s simply nothing not to love about the silly little lizard.

Limited Run has not yet shared a release date for the Gex Trilogy, but physical copies are expected. The announcement is sure to delight collectors, too, with the likes of Nightfire and Enter the Gecko getting re-releases previously.

The news is just the latest in Limited Run’s efforts to revive older properties. Clock Tower and Tomba are also coming back, and I personally can’t wait to see what they’re going to do with all of these wonderful games.

We’ll update with more information as it comes in, but in the meantime, check out our Gex 4 review to see how the first new Gecko game in years stacks up. If you’re new to the lizard, check out our Gex 3 review and see what makes the goofy little Gecko so great.

We’ll have more information on the Gex Trilogy release in the future. In the meantime, take a trip down memory lane with our list of the best retro games ever. You can also try some of the best survival games if you want some more lizard action.
