What to do in Ghost Trick Chapter 3
If you're stuck in Chapter 3 of Ghost Trick and need help finding your way out of Lynne's apartment, this guide is here to help. From carefully placing a live rat to precisely timing a wadded-up piece of paper, this chapter provides some tricky challenges despite being somewhat shorter than others in the game. Use this guide to get out of the apartment at lightning speed and back to the action!
When the chapter begins, talk to Missile then use the remote on the couch to turn on the TV. Next, activate the star on the Christmas tree. When the cutscene ends, you'll be able to make your way to the next-door apartment through the wine bottle on the table.
Listening to the lady when she's at her typewriter will cause her to walk over to the bookshelf in search of the dictionary. To draw her attention to the book:
From there, the lady will return to her typewriter. Call her over, then use the windmill to drop the rat to the floor immediately after she notices it, but before she scares it off. If you time it correctly, she'll see the rat on the floor with the dictionary next to it.
Hide in the dictionary before she picks it up so that she brings you to the table. After the lady's conversation with her daughter, wait for her to sit back down then turn off the lamp on the table. This will cause her to crumple up the page she's working on and throw it away.
While it's still within reach, jump to the paper. You'll find yourself on top of the trash bin. Activate the trash bin's pedal, then quickly jump back into the paper as it's flung upward. While it's in the air, leap to the phone.
Use the phone lines to return to the Junkyard in search of Lynne. In the next chapter, you'll work to prove Lynne's innocence once and for all. For now, you'll need to find a way to distract Tengo long enough for her to take the hint.
