MMOB Network Acquires Porofessor and League of Graphs
As any League of Legends player knows, Porofessor and League of Graphs are pretty essential tools if one is going to compete at a more-than-casual level. These sites aggregate all the League matches, showing who's winning what, when, where, and with which League champion. They have become indispensable for players who are invested in Riot Games's hit multiplayer battle game.
The man behind these resources and the one-person company, known as Wargraphs, has been acquired by MOBA Network, a company based in Sweden. The deal, which is worth €50 million (about US $54.6 million), fully buys out Wargraphs from Jean-Nicolas Mastin. Wargraphs had accumulated around 10 million downloads and 1.25 million daily average users.
Expansion Plans
MOBA Network, which also operates related League-focused websites, intends to expand the assets further and enter new games and markets. The company aims to evolve Langraphs into a leading global environment and community for indie developers who want to tap into the large pool of experienced gamers. Jean-Nicolas Mastin will be joining the MOBA team as an employee.
While MOBA Network's primary goal seems to be running Wargraphs as a digital ad farm, the secondary goal is clearly to acquire valuable technology. It remains to be seen what game the tools will be turned towards next.
Overall, the acquisition of Porofessor and League of Graphs by MMOB Network is seen as a positive move for these essential League of Legends tools and their counterparts in Legends of Runeterra and Teamfight Tactics.
