A new proposal for a Kerbal Space Program Lego set has reached its 10,000 supporter goal on Lego Ideas, exciting fans of the space game and the Lego hobby. Created by Sam67c, this modular kit combines the creativity of Kerbal and the joy of Lego, allowing players to construct their own crafts and explore the wonders of space, just like in the game.

This Kerbal Space Program Lego set is unlike any other we've seen before. While previous designs were more focused on dioramas and display pieces, this set is specifically designed for active play.

The proposal includes an impressive trailer showcasing the set, featuring perfectly arranged piles of rocket parts and various rocket cockpit modules. Though the set is not yet finalized, it effectively captures the essence of Kerbal Space Program.

The proposed builds include rockets with two solid fuel boosters, making it ideal for players attempting their first Mun landing. Additionally, the set features realistic components such as Poodle, Vector, and Skipper rocket engines. Sam67c describes the set as having over 40 possible mini builds, with parts including engines, fuel tanks, batteries, and cockpits that connect vertically via round plates.

Throughout the campaign, the designs have evolved, with additional proposals for stage separators and a design for the Rovemate rover body. You can find all the designs and proposed upgrades below:

With 10,000 supporters, this idea will now be considered by Lego, and any potential licensing issues with Kerbal publisher Take-Two will be addressed. While this is a small victory for Kerbal fans, it's not yet a license to launch, as previous Lego Ideas proposals for popular franchises like Destiny 2, Assassin's Creed, and even Star Wars have faltered despite reaching the support threshold.

Nevertheless, with 10,000 supporters, this proposal demonstrates the immense passion of the Kerbal Space Program community and our collective desire to see our favorite game come to life in Lego form. It's a perfect match made on the launchpad. We'll be closely following the progress of this exciting project.
