Where to Find the Sons of the Forest Rifle

To access the rifle, you will need the rebreather item, so make sure you have it equipped. Explore the large cave and head towards the back, descending to the lowest point. After swimming through a small area of deep water using the rebreather, you will emerge from a tunnel.
Upon exiting the tunnel, you will find the body of a man slumped against the cave wall. Take what you can from him and continue to follow the same wall on your right. Keep moving forward until you come across another man, just past a well-lit area. This man is holding the Sons of the Forest rifle, so be sure to loot the weapon and the rifle ammo on the floor next to him.
