Warframe's Duviri Paradox Update

Looking for a guide to Warframe's Duviri Paradox? Digital Extremes has released a massive expansion that fully embraces open-world gameplay and introduces new roguelite playlists. In this guide, we'll help you navigate through the complexities of this update, from understanding the open world to mastering the different game types and challenges that await.

What is Duviri Paradox?

The Duviri Paradox is a large open world consisting of three game types: The Circuit, The Duviri Experience, and The Lone Story scenarios. This expansion incorporates roguelite and MMO elements, offering players richer and more varied rewards. Each game type has its own separate lobby within the open world, ranging from a small campfire in The Sole Story to a vast lake in The Circuit.

In Duviri Paradox, the storylines run parallel to the events in The Mirage Confession cinematic quest and feature familiar enemy types and geographical features. However, you won't be completing Lephantis or Galatea in the open world. Instead, you can access each game type if you're familiar with the game's anomalies.

Game Types in Duviri Paradox

Here are the three game types in Duviri Paradox and how to access them:

1. Duviri Run

This is the traditional run type in Duviri Paradox and is unlocked after completing 'The Duviri Paradox' quest. You can also select this run type through the conventional anomaly in Cordon, filtering to Duviri. There are options to toggle difficulty, but these only apply to certain game types, which will be detailed below.

2. Steel Path Duviri

Steel Path Duviri follows a specific track: open-world segments, Undercroft missions, and a repeat of the open-world segments. Unlike normal Duviri runs, there are no side objectives in Steel Path Duviri. Your main objective is to complete at least three Undercroft missions before being sent back to Cordon.

3. The Duviri Experience

The Duviri Experience is the core playlist for this game type. It features side objectives and the Orowyrm boss fight, which occurs in the middle. The Orowyrm battle can happen in the first two Undercroft missions or the last one, allowing for multiple attempts at defeating this powerful boss.

Defeating the Orowyrm guarantees a new warframe, gun, or slot upgrade.

Circuit Run

Circuit Run is a shorter version of Steel Path. It does not have open-world segments, except for one mandatory Undercroft-style mission at the beginning. This game type is ideal for players who want to focus on the story without having to collect resources.

Roguelite Playlists

Roguelite Playlists consist of unique Undercroft missions generated at random and specific to your Warframe. If Dominus Thrax's mood changes or you've completed a Duviri or Circuit run, you can reroll options.

Decrees and Spirals

Decrees are powerful boons attached to your chosen loadout in Duviri Paradox. Some Decrees can be obtained from objectives, and they offer various benefits. Additionally, you may receive a milder 'Well Done' buff, which enhances damage and/or survivability in your chosen Warframe loadout. We'll cover the Decrees in more detail later in this guide.

Spirals are areas on the map that, when traversed, influence the landscape by changing access to certain areas or altering enemy damage types. There are three Spirals in Duviri Paradox, each leading to a unique location. Some of these locations provide new experiences within existing open-world areas, while others offer completely new encounters and boss fights.
