YouTuber Dream Shares Thoughts on Adin Ross and Kick

The former Minecraft partnered channel, YouTuber Dream, known for his kid-friendly Minecraft content, recently expressed his views on Trending Youtube Gamingstar, Adin Ross, and his thoughts on Ross's newest streaming platform, Kick. According to major YouTubers, Ross and the new platform are considered less than desirable.

In a recent interview with the YouTube show BFFs, a lively virtual club where prominent YouTubers gather to banter, Dream was asked to play a game called 'Start, Bench, or Cut' with a list of content creators and their channels. The choices were based on relationships, clout, or other personal considerations.

Dream chose to 'Cut' Adin Ross when asked who he would eliminate and why. He believes Ross is too 'controversial' and pointed out that Ross's presence is one of the reasons why Kick, the competitive streaming service that aims to attract Twitch streamers with lucrative contracts and a higher revenue split, has not been as successful in challenging the streaming giant.

BFFs also asked Dream about his thoughts on the competitive streaming platform, but he opted not to elaborate on his previous point. Regardless, Dream's previous comments about Ross and their connection to the supposed struggles of Kick provide insight into how major content creators from YouTube and Twitch perceive Kick as an alternative platform. While his exaggeration may not generate much controversy, as Adin Ross's fan community may be the only group likely to take issue with the remarks, they do reflect an underlying perception that may make other major streamers hesitate to join the platform.

With Gaming superstar Ross joining the platform and subsequent controversies involving hateful comments towards LGBT individuals, Ross's reputation has been tarnished in the eyes of many content creators. Kick, which builds upon the foundational ideas of the abandoned Project Mosquito, infamous for its setup that rewarded streamers for bringing in new members, coupled with the platform's affiliation with online gambling, cryptocurrency, and its lack of moderation for bigotry and harassment, has contributed to a negative reputation that may have, until recently, affected all signees on the platform.

Dream's decision to cut Adin Ross, although acknowledged as an exaggeration, likely reflects the hesitation felt by other major Twitch and YouTube streamers as well. While Ross may find a suitable home on Kick, many others will likely avoid the platform due to its association with him.
