Intel's upcoming 14th Gen Core non-K processors leak
The upcoming Intel 14th Gen Core non-K processor configurations have been leaked, giving us a clearer idea of what to expect. Intel plans to release its 14th Gen Core non-K CPUs around the same time as the previous generation, with 10 standard chips and potentially a T-Series family on the way. For enthusiasts, there’ll also be unlocked Raptor Lake Refresh chips with leaked benchmarks and rumours about their max clock speeds.
Intel leaks are a dime a dozen, but leaker chi11eddog, who previously shared accurate information about the upcoming Core i7-10750H and i7-10850H, has shared ten new Raptor Lake Refresh SKUs. The information gives us a comparison point for the new 14th Gen Core non-K processors, which we expect to see at CES 2023.
Comparing the specs, there doesn’t appear to be a lot of change between the current-gen non-K processors and the 14th Gen Core chips. The i7-14700/F stands out as the only SKU with an increased (E) core count, promising improvements in multi-thread workloads.
Otherwise, the Intel Smart Cache (L3) remains unchanged in the next generation, with the new CPUs generally having a slightly higher max CPU frequency. Most have 200 MHz higher clock speeds, but the Core i5-14400/F looks like it might only see a 100 MHz increase.
Leaked Intel 14th Gen Core non-K CPU configurations:
This isn’t particularly surprising, as Intel has typically stuck to the same formula for its non-K processors. The company is more likely to focus on making improvements to the integrated graphics and boosting clock speeds rather than changing the core count.
Still, there are some new features coming to the next generation of non-K processors, including the support for Turbo Boost v3.0 and the addition of Speed Shift 4.
