Intel quietly adds two new mobile GPUs to Arc Alchemist family

Intel has quietly added two new Mobile GPUs to its Arc Alchemist family, with the Arc A570M and A530M. The additions don’t look to be particularly exciting, but they’ll likely feature in upcoming gaming laptops. After all, it’s hard to resist the siren call of more graphics horsepower.

We’ve already seen a variety of models in the Arc Alchemist series, including the A770M, A730M, A550M, A370M, and A350M. Now, it seems, we’ll have the A570M and A530M to complete the A500M series.

The silicon inside these new models will likely be the same ACM-G10 (DG2-512) as the Arc A550M. That GPU, which uses a die produced using TSMC’s 6nm process node, is notably larger than either Nvidia’s GA104 or AMD’s Navi 22.

The A570M features 16 Xe cores, 16 ray tracing units, and a clock speed of 1,300 MHz. It has a TGP between 75W and 95W, making it a higher-clocked version of the A550M. In contrast, the A530M has 12 Xe cores and a TGP between 65W and 95W. It uses the same clock speed as the A570M, seemingly offering less memory bandwidth.

As always with unreleased hardware, it’s hard to glean too much from the specs. We’ll have to wait for the GPUs to appear in real-world tests to see how they compare to competitors.

The A550M already boasts 6GB of GDDR6 memory, as well as a 128-bit memory interface. It remains to be seen if either of the new models will offer higher memory bandwidth, while the A530M may end up with less.

It’s hard to tell whether these GPUs will be the last additions to the mobile Alchemist series. After all, we’ve already seen a variety of models across different segments, such as the A570MX and A770M, which we suspect will eventually become part of the mobile lineup.

Intel may have further models planned, such as the Arc A330M or even the A750M. However, with the next-generation Battlemage launching next year, the focus may well shift away from Alchemist.
