The Zotac RTX 4060 OC Spider-Man: Affordable and Powerful

The Zotac RTX 4060 OC Spider-Man is a new Nvidia GeForce graphics card that combines the best features of the Ada Lovelace architecture at a more affordable price point. While the name and price may leave some disappointed, this entry-level offering has a lot to offer.

If the RTX 4050 had been named the RTX 4060 and priced at $249 or lower, it would have been a better value proposition. However, at $299, it's hard to recommend over the cheaper, faster, and more powerful RTX 3060 Ti. Despite this, the Zotac RTX 4060 OC Spider-Man still stands as a solid graphics card.

When it comes to performance, the Zotac RTX 4060 OC Spider-Man impresses. It handles 1080p gaming effortlessly and can even handle select games at 1440p. Its compact design and excellent thermal performance make it a great choice for smaller builds.

Design and Cooling

The RTX 4060 OC Spider-Man showcases Zotac's design prowess with its sleek appearance and efficient cooling system. Measuring just 89mm in height, the compact cooler features a single fan that rotates at speeds up to 2350 RPM. It also has a zero RPM mode for silent operation when the card is not under load. However, it prioritizes lower temperatures over minimal fan noise.

With a length of 223mm, the RTX 4060 is a two-slot card that may not fit well in three-slot cases. In terms of connectivity, it features a PCIe 4.0 x8 interface and requires a single 8-pin power connector.

Impressive Performance

The RTX 4060 excels as a 1080p graphics card, effortlessly running games at high settings. While it may struggle with maxed out settings in demanding games at 1440p, DLSS 3 and Frame Generation provide a significant boost in FPS.

Here are some of the games I've tested the RTX 4060 with:

- Far Cry New Dawn: 78fps average frame rate at 1440p with DLSS 3 enabled.
