The Witcher 3: Flesh for Sale

If you're searching for 'Flesh for Sale' in The Witcher 3, you've come to the right place. This side quest in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt takes you to the darker side of Skellige's shores, where you'll find yourself questioning whether or not to partake in the slave trade. The answer to this moral dilemma may vary depending on your personal beliefs and financial situation. Are there other options available?

Throughout your journey in The Witcher 3, you'll encounter quests of varying difficulty. While some quests involve slaying mythical beasts, embarking on murderous rampages, or protecting lives at stake, others focus on the persecution of mages in Nilfgaard and the potential culling of Skelligers on the islands. Some of these quests are part of the main story, while others are hidden side quests that require a guide to find.

Flesh for Sale Walkthrough

To begin the 'Flesh for Sale' quest, travel to Faroe, the southernmost island in Skellige. Once there, make your way to the village of Trottheim, located in the middle of the island. You'll notice an islet in the middle of the river. However, the quest marker will direct you to the north side, where two pirates stand guard at the entrance. These pirates mistakenly believe Geralt is their business partner.

At this point, you'll have the opportunity to choose how Geralt approaches the situation. If you play along, you can then select sadistic or trusting dialogue options. The sadistic option involves Geralt threatening to kill the pirates if they don't reveal their true intentions, while the trusting option allows Geralt to pretend he is unaware of the slaves in the tent.

Regardless of your choice, the pirates will believe you are their business partner and attempt to kill you when they perceive a moment of weakness. However, if you eliminate one of the pirates near the campfire first, the other will be less aware of your presence. Opting for the trusting dialogue option gives you a chance to free the slaves, as long as you spare the pirates' lives.

Before making a final decision, it's important to note that the leader of the pirates is a slave trader expecting a buyer from Nilfgaard for his victims. Once you defeat the three pirates, you still have the opportunity to free the slaves if you choose to do so. This option not only creates a better narrative, but also prevents the slaves from being killed by the slavers.

In either case, you'll need to retrieve the keys from the slaver's corpse. Once you have the key, proceed to the holding cell marked by the quest to free the prisoners. If you choose the peaceful approach, you'll need to guide them to safety. The quest will conclude once the slaves are freed. Although it may be a bittersweet outcome, Geralt's efforts to help are commendable.

These are all the steps involved in completing the 'Flesh for Sale' side quest in The Witcher 3. Please note that this quest must be completed before meeting Lambert at the Seven Cats Inn during the 'Following the Thread' quest. If you have already progressed beyond that point, follow these instructions:

To locate the suspicious marks, it is recommended to equip the Wolven Whiskers Witcher set chest. The marks can often be found behind the quest giver's house. To trigger the next phase of the quest, you'll need to embrace your Witcher skills once again and eliminate a supernatural troublemaker leading a group of thugs.
