With that in mind, we look at one of the Witcher 3 side quests that sees Geralt try to help out someone in need.
Unlike Geralt, having to face down a gang of criminals is a daunting prospect for most ordinary citizens. Some, however, have developed the skills needed to survive the danger. This short side quest starts in Oxenfurt’s nighttime streets, where Geralt encounters a pair of criminals attempting to seduce a woman. Where to find The Witcher 3 Rough Neighborhood quest
This quest can be found near Oxenfurt’s western coast, though you’ll have to satisfy two conditions before it becomes available. First, you’ll need to have finished the Blood Simple main quest and the Where the Cat and Wolf Play side quest, both of which take place in Novigrad. Once you’re back in Oxenfurt, however, you’ll find a woman being accosted by three mercenaries on the street.
How to complete Rough Neighborhood
The men’s best attempts at seduction leave much to be desired, and you’ll have the chance to interrupt them. The mercenaries will, of course, not take kindly to your intervention and will have a fistfight regardless of your dialogue choice. Once they’ve been soundly bested, the woman, Dora, will thank Geralt while mentioning that she could handle the men alone.
If you draw your sword and kill the mercenaries, Dora will flee the area instead, ending the quest without a reward. You’ll have the choice of offering to walk her home or part ways. Both options will provide you with 25 experience points.
Walk Dora Home: She’ll have a short conversation with Geralt before you reach her house, where the quest ends. This will provide you with an additional experience point reward.
Part Ways: Dora will make her own way home, though you won’t see her in the quest’s second part.
Several days after meeting Dora, a group of five mercenaries set up shop at a square near the Western Gate Fast Travel point. They have apparently decided that Oxenfurt is the perfect spot to set up shop, and it’s up to Geralt to put an end to their plans.
This second part of Rough Neighborhood is essentially a side quest on its own, as you’ll be tasked with driving out the criminals from the neighborhood.
