Warzone DMZ Bounty Feature
The new Warzone DMZ bounty feature is getting plenty of people excited in the battle royale game, as Activision keeps shaking up the FPS game with fresh updates and content to keep it at the top of the pile. If you’ve been keeping up with the ongoing Warzone season, you’ll know that the bounty system is designed to disincentivise you from killing too many enemies in the game, but some players are already looking at it as a challenge to overcome.
“In Warzone, we don’t want one player to dominate so much that they can take out the entire enemy team,” the Activision blog post explains. “To combat this, we’re introducing a new feature called the DMZ Bounty. This Bounty system adds a twist to your typical Warzone gameplay by placing a target on players who have been on a killing spree.”
DMZ bounty targets are decided at the start of each match, and eliminating one of these designated bounty targets will net you some hefty bonus cash and XP. If you’re on a killing spree, you’ll now want to keep an eye out for anyone trying to take you down, as it could be worth the risk to take them out and reap the rewards.
This is a pretty clever way to balance the game and stop one player dominating, but I can already see it causing issues when multiple players are on killing sprees and desperately trying to take each other out. This is definitely a good thing, though, and while it may disrupt the flow of things a little, it’s an interesting new feature that adds a layer of strategy.
Some players are embracing the DMZ bounty system as a challenge, looking to prove themselves against the best of the best. Others see it as a way to get an easy win, but I personally don’t see the harm in it; if you’re on a killing spree, you’re clearly a skilled player, so I’d be happy to take you on.
The introduction of the DMZ bounty system has certainly sparked discussions among the Warzone community, with some players worried that it could disrupt the game’s balance and flow. I can see both sides of the argument here, but I do think it’s a nice addition that will give players a new way to approach their gameplay.
Whether you’re looking to prove yourself against the best in the game or simply want to avoid being the DMZ target, we can’t wait to get in there and test it out. With the constant updates and additions coming to Warzone, the game continues to evolve and remain at the top of the battle royale genre.
