Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are now open, as Activision prepares for the FPS game’s big launch on November 10. You can order either the standard edition or the Vault edition of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, with both versions available for PS4, Xbox, and PC.
Modern Warfare 3 will see the return of the remastered multiplayer maps from the original Modern Warfare 2, but there’s plenty more to the game than just that. If you want to play Modern Warfare 3 with KontrolFreek thumbsticks, then you can order from Walmart to get them included as a pre-order bonus.
There’s no Switch version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which will be disappointing for Nintendo fans. Here’s a breakdown of all the pre-order bonuses and editions available.
Standard/Cross-Gen edition
The standard edition is for players who just want the base game without any additional bonuses. Pre-ordering this version grants you early access to the open beta, with the campaign opening up a week earlier as well. If you order this from Walmart, you’ll also get a pair of KontrolFreek thumbsticks.
Vault Edition
The Vault edition is the premium version of the game, and includes everything from the base copy, plus additional extras. These include the Nemesis operator pack and weapon vaults, which give you access to multiplayer weapons that you can use in the multiplayer game mode Gun Game.
PlayStation 4 and PS5 players will also receive five extra tier skips if they choose the Vault Edition.
If you’re going to pre-order Modern Warfare 3, then it might be worth playing the original Modern Warfare 2 before it. There may well be carryover between the two games, and although it’s not strictly necessary, it could give you a head start in the multiplayer game.
In terms of sales, Black Ops is the most popular Call of Duty game, selling 32 million copies.
