Tomb Raider's Lara Croft joins Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is about to get a little more Lara Croft than expected. Rather than simply providing a glimpse of the iconic explorer during the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 cinematic trailer, Lara will actually be playable in the FPS game as part of Season 5 Reloaded. She’ll be one of three playable operators available this season, alongside Tracer and Widowmaker.

In addition to Lara, the Tracer Pack: Tomb Raider bundle includes her, her classic dual pistols, an ice axe melee weapon, and plenty of other Tomb Raider-themed items. You’ll also get plenty of skins and other items themed around Lara herself, in addition to the aforementioned operator.

The bundle also includes a range of extra items themed around Lara’s adventures. You’ll get a vehicle skin, a loading screen, a sticker, an emblem, and a variety of other cosmetic items.

A screenshot shared by the Call of Duty Twitter account shows Lara in-game, wielding her iconic dual pistols and sporting her signature outfit and braided hair. The attention to her classic design in the FPS game has impressed plenty of players, with many hoping for a remake of the original Tomb Raider with this model.

Many are also theorising about the possibility of a new Tomb Raider game, with this model seemingly hinting at the next Tomb Raider game currently in development at Square Enix.
