New Dead by Daylight Killers Wishlist
Looking for some new Dead by Daylight Killers? Time for a change? That’s a given. With a roster of licensed Killers from iconic Horror media, from Michael to the Ghost Face from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dead by Daylight is as much about the who as the what. So which potential Killers await?
Ahead of the upcoming Dead by Daylight Halloween content, we’ve got our wishlist of Dead by Daylight Killers. Some are long shots, while others are more likely, but all would bring something new to the game and keep the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game fresh. Here’s a list of Dead by Daylight Killers we’d love to see.
Candyman
We’d go with the 1992 Tony Todd version, obviously. His powers could include a boost when Survivors summon him by saying his name in front of mirrors, given that fear fuels his strength. He’d be a stalker-type Killer, inflicting debuffs on Survivors to increase tension during matches. Perhaps he’d have a hook that functions like a normal trap but inflicts a bleed effect on those it catches, forcing them to take periodic healing items or risk death from their own injuries.
Candyman’s thematic elements would be easy: bees and honey. His Mori would involve inflicting his own horrific death on Survivors. In the movie, he was a man with a hook who died in a factory that made honey, so he’d be able to summon beehives and honey pots. Bonus points for a beehive grenade.
There’s been a lot of clamoring for an animatronic killer in Dead by Daylight, with the upcoming movie in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series giving the idea new life. While it’s unlikely Capcom would allow BHVR to add a Freddy or Chica, or even a Spring Bonnie, to the game, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility, especially with Resident Evil characters already in the game.
Springtrap
Springtrap would be an excellent addition, functioning as a stalker-type Killer who would only move when Survivors were separated. He’d have a collection of traps – bear traps, perhaps – and would inflict debuffs on Survivors to increase tension during matches.
We’ve heard a lot about Jason Vorhees lately, thanks to the excellent Jordan Peele-produced reboot of the Friday the 13th franchise. But it’s unlikely we’ll ever get an iconic slasher in Dead by Daylight, due to IP disputes. Pamela Vorhees, Jason’s mother, could be a potential addition, though – a woman with a bag of tricks and a collection of weapons.
A modern internet horror classic, Slender Man would be a fitting addition to the game. Slender Man’s gameplay is centered around finding eight pages, so his gameplay in Dead by Daylight could simply be searching for pages rather than actively hunting. Slender Man’s Deadlights and their potential to mess with media interfaces would add a fun twist to playing against him.
Pennywise would likely be limited to his clown form, playing with balloons and building unease in the Trials. He’d be a fun Killer to use and would fit the fun, wacky style of the It movies.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably a fan of horror. So are we. The Tall Man from Phantasm is a deep cut addition to Dead by Daylight, but his flying metal spheres as deadly weapons could function as automatic sentinels or be controlled actively by The Tall Man. The Tall Man is a powerful, slow-moving Killer with a limited teleportation ability.
Resident Evil Village’s Lady Dimitrescu would fit well in the game. She’s a woman with a wide array of skills, potentially gaining Thrill and using Cadou flies or summoning her daughters. Her main gameplay could be centered around her rose garden, using a potential skill that reveals the location of the closest rose to the Survivors, forcing them to either run from her or risk her wrath.
Capcom has worked with BHVR before, so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that a Resident Evil character could be added to Dead by Daylight. Resident Evil characters are already in the game, so it’s not a completely outlandish suggestion.
And that’s our list of Dead by Daylight Killers we’d love to see. Who would you love to see join the multiplayer game? Let us know in the comments. If you’re new to Dead by Daylight, you might want to check out our Dead by Daylight tier list, or get ahead with all the latest Dead by Daylight trends.
