The Destiny 2 hand cannon is getting a buff in Season of the Witch, alongside many other weapons in the FPS game, and it’s safe to say they’re a force to be reckoned with now.

If you’ve been avoiding these iconic firearms in Destiny 2, you’ll likely have noticed a major improvement in their effectiveness and usability, and it feels fantastic.

Hand cannons in Destiny 2

Hand cannons have always been a personal favourite of mine in Destiny 2, but I’ve been avoiding them since the season started as I felt they weren’t pulling their weight in the RPG game. That’s all changed with the recent improvements, and many other Destiny 2 weapon types have also seen some notable buffs in season 20, breathing new life into Bungie’s multiplayer game.

Here’s a look at the recent changes to Destiny 2 hand cannons and other iconic weapons in the multiplayer game.

It’s no surprise that hand cannons are currently considered top-tier weapons in Destiny 2 right now, but their buffs have made them incredibly satisfying to use. They now pack a serious punch and feel fantastic to wield, which is a huge relief considering they were one of my go-to choices back in Destiny 2 Forsaken.

The buffs have increased the effectiveness and usability of hand cannons in many ways, but the most notable improvements are to their accuracy and damage output. These changes have breathed new life into the game’s most iconic firearms, and it’s no coincidence that they’re now a popular choice in both PvE and PvP activities.

It’s clear that the recent changes have made a huge impact on hand cannons, and the overall gameplay experience in Destiny 2.
