Destiny 2 Season of the Deeps Elemental Attunement

Want to complete the Destiny 2 Season of the Deeps elemental attunement? The latest season brought a new way to complete the attunement process. Instead of having to wait for a seasonal reset, you can change your elemental attunement in subsequent weeks.

In previous seasons, you had to wait until the reset to change your elemental attunement. While the change doesn’t affect your chosen card rewards, it does mean that you can farm cards for multiple elements at once. In your first week in the seasonal activity, you should try to complete the attunement for whichever element you’re most comfortable with. The choice doesn’t matter as long as it aligns with your damage type or subclass. If you choose the wrong element, you can change it later.

Destiny 2 Bladed Path Elemental Attunement Quest

You’ll be given the option to change your attunement in the week following the reset. You can only complete one attunement per week, but your secondary characters will have the same attunement as your first character.

The choice of element comes early in the questline, during the Complete Metamorphosis step. You’ll have the option to focus on Light, Darkness, or Void. For example, if you’re a Void Hunter, you’d choose Void as your attunement. If you can’t remember which element you chose, check the Destiny 2 PC leaderboards.

To change your elemental attunement, you’ll need to complete the same steps for the first choice. You’ll also need to find a Rune of the Lost to unlock the Lost World. This is still the case even if you’ve completed the PC beta.

How to Attune to an Element in Destiny 2

Thankfully, this part is much easier. Just complete the Bladed Path quest step by activating the ritual circle. You’ll gain the ability to pick up elemental Opaque Cards in Savathun’s Spire.

You’ll need to defeat combatants with the chosen damage type in the Throne World or seasonal activities. For example, if you chose Void as your element, you’d need to defeat enemies in the Throne World with Void damage to progress.

In the initial room of the Throne World lost sector, you’ll notice that several Hive symbols are lit up. You’ll need to find and shoot five Hive symbols in this room. You’ll need to shoot the Hive symbols with the same damage type as the element you chose. For example, if you’re doing the Darkness ritual, you’ll want to use Void weapons to shoot the Hive symbols.

The important thing to note here is that you need to use a primary weapon. If you’re in the Lost World and equipped with a special, you’ll accidentally destroy runes. Once you’ve shot all the symbols, you’ll be able to activate the nearby ritual circle to complete attunement.
