Mortal Kombat 11 has a new Brutality that reveals the final words of each fighter when killed
Mortal Kombat 11 fans are digging all the little details in the Fighting Game, and one user has discovered a new feature that reveals the final words of each fighter when killed. If you’re a big MK fan, you know how many ways there are to kill off characters in the series, but we rarely get to hear from the fighters before they die. However, a video from a TikTok user named benarfa.2.3 showcases the Joker performing a Brutality called “Batter Up” on each character, which gives us the chance to hear their last words before they perish.
The Brutality has the Joker saying “Smile!” before hitting the other fighter, who then has a few seconds to say their final phrase before dying. Some are funny, like Johnny Cage’s “not the face” and Kano’s “bugger.” Others are a little more depressing, like Sindel begging for help or D’Vorah saying “free me.”
There are a couple of exceptions, too. Nightwolf, Shang Tsung, and The Terminator don’t say anything when the Brutality is used on them. It’s unclear why, but some speculate that Nightwolf is too focused on winning, Shang Tsung is just tired of Joker’s antics, and The Terminator is simply too stoic to care.
Check out all the final words in the video below:
This is a pretty cool feature that really sets Mortal Kombat 11 apart from other fighting games in terms of its attention to detail and commitment to an immersive gaming experience. It makes me wonder what a real-life fight to the death would be like – what conversations would occur, what emotions would be felt? This new feature definitely gets me thinking along those lines, and that’s a big part of what keeps me playing MK.
So far, the most popular clips are Sindel crying for help, Nightwolf’s blank response, and Erron Black’s “oh, shucks.” It’s early days yet, so expect more to come as fans dig into all the different voice lines shared by each fighter.
