Top Three Video Game Franchises
We asked the PC Game Spotlight Discord community to share their top three video game franchises and received thousands of responses. Here are the most popular franchises, as voted by the biggest PC gaming community.
Final Fantasy, Fallout, and Zelda are just a few of the iconic series that made it to the top of the list. Fans expressed their love for power armor in games like Fallout and Doom, while others reminisced about their favorite childhood games like Ratchet and Clank and Crash Bandicoot.
There was some debate about whether games like Mario Kart should be considered part of the Mario franchise. Some users were disappointed that strategy games like Paradox and Total War didn't make the cut. Many users also shared their favorite games from their high school days, such as Halo and Mass Effect. And of course, there were playful jabs at each other for misspelling Mortal Kombat.
Interestingly, some users mentioned lesser-known series like Kirby and Animal Crossing, showing their unique taste in games. One user even joked that these three choices should be erased from existence!
While some users expressed disappointment that certain games like Knack and Rocket League were not mentioned, others questioned the purpose of this exercise and asked for an explanation.
