Director Zack Snyder's Fortnite Obsession

Of course director Zack Snyder is a big Fortnite player. At least, that’s what the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League filmmaker reveals in an interview at Gamescom. In a conversation with IGN, Snyder shares his Fortnite obsession and how playing the game with his son led to his deep involvement with the popular Battle Royale game.

“I tried it with my son, and I got hooked,” Snyder says. “I’m like a huge Fortnite fan now, so I’m just here to say that.” The revelation may come as a bit of a surprise to fans of both Fortnite and Snyder’s films, as the director’s love for the game provides a humorous twist to his image as a renowned filmmaker.

Snyder also shares that he has become quite interested in Fortnite skins and uses a single one in the game, implying his preference for a character’s look over others. “I just use one skin,” he admits. “So, which one do you think it is?” The director’s comment regarding his Fortnite addiction adds another layer to his comments, as it highlights his dedication to the game.

Snyder’s Fortnite revelation further solidifies the game’s status as a cultural phenomenon. The game’s ability to captivate players from various backgrounds and interests serves as another example of gaming’s impact on popular culture and the entertainment industry as a whole.

In addition, Snyder’s experience provides a refreshing look at gaming as a shared hobby within families. Popular perception regarding the hobby tends to portray it as an activity primarily enjoyed by children and young adults, yet the director’s choice to play Fortnite with his son demonstrates how it can also be a bonding activity for parents and children.
