GTA 6: Closer Than We Think

GTA 6 might be closer than we think, if the latest earnings report from Rockstar's parent company Take-Two is anything to go by. In its 2023 financial predictions, the company suggests that major things are coming in the next fiscal year, with new record levels of operating performance expected as the long-awaited GTA 6 releases.

Previously, we heard a not set-in-stone release date from leaker Tez2, which aligns with Rockstar's expectations according to its parent company Take-Two. However, insider Gaming supports the holiday release date but says that there might be a contingency plan in place, potentially releasing parts of the game as DLC.

In its earnings report, Rockstar and parent company Take-Two mention an "exciting next chapter" that is unrelated to GTA 5 or Online. This aligns with what we previously heard about the game being further along than many realize.

"In fiscal 2024, we expect to launch the next chapter in our growth story," Take-Two's financial predictions from January 2020 also mention. This further supports the 2024 launch for GTA 6, with the fiscal year 2024 ending in March, making a holiday release more likely but a delay to early 2025 possible.

The fate of GTA Online remains uncertain, as it may wind down or transition to the new GTA 6 mode. Overall, the multiple sources and insiders suggest that the GTA 6 release is imminent after a six-year development cycle.

In the meantime, you can check out some of the best other games like GTA 5 to tide you over until the next entry in Rockstar's crime-ridden series arrives.
