Indie game store Limited Run unveils annual showcase with Clock Tower remaster and the return of Gex

Indie game store Limited Run has revealed its annual showcase, featuring a remastered version of the cult classic point and click Horror game, Clock Tower, along with the highly anticipated return of the nineties platformer, Gex.

If you're not familiar with Clock Tower, it's a memorable and chilling game from the mid-nineties that puts you in the shoes of high school student Jennifer. As she tries to navigate her way out of a sprawling mansion, she is relentlessly pursued by the Scissorman - a disfigured figure armed with a giant pair of scissors.

This gruesome and tense experience is enhanced by the charmingly clunky controls and boxy graphics of the past. Clock Tower has long been deserving of a modern update, and that's exactly what we're getting.

The Clock Tower remaster is being developed by WayForward, the same team behind the recent port of River City Girls Zero. The game will be available on multiple platforms, including Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.

More information about the title will likely be provided by Limited Run or WayForward closer to the release date. In the meantime, you can watch a brief trailer below:

In addition to Clock Tower, Limited Run has also announced the long-awaited return of Gex, the beloved nineties platformer.
