The developers of The Outlast Trials, Red Barrels, have plans to release additional programs as seasonal challenges. In October, for example, they introduced Program Omega as a limited-time challenge, where players had to work together and rely on each other during gameplay - a first for The Outlast Trials. If you play alone and in separate areas, your chances of survival are slim. Therefore, if you missed this challenge, don't expect to complete it solo now.
While most of the extra content is mandatory for beating the game, it is likely that developers will continue to release seasonal challenges and new programs regularly after the game exits Early Access.
