Callisto Protocol DLC Promises Terrifying Conclusion
A new Callisto Protocol DLC has been announced that promises to deliver a terrifying send off to the sci-fi Horror game, several months after its debut on various platforms including PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The DLC is titled 'Final Transmission', and developer Striking Distance Studios promises players will experience high tension horror in its concluding chapter. While details are relatively scarce for now, the teaser below certainly suggests players should prepare for an eerie ride.
Echoing the Lost-like blend of horror and sci-fi, Callisto Protocol has been dubbed the 'new Dead Space' by critics and players owing to its pitch-perfect tone and gameplay that’s reminiscent of the renowned franchise. Indeed, Callisto Protocol co-creator Glen Schofield is also the co-creator of the Dead Space franchise; his partner Randy Smith was lead designer on the original Halo and Halo 2.
Previous updates and DLCs, including the challenging Contagion Mode, have expanded the game’s narrative while offering players more horrifying (and in some cases, hilarious) challenges. A little over a year since its release, Callisto Protocol's future remains uncertain due to its underperformance, but there’s still ample room for the sequel to grow.

PlayStation owners will get exclusive early access to the DLC, with availability starting on June 27. Xbox and PC owners can play it on June 29.
