Resident Evil 2 Remake's Red Jewel
Resident Evil 2 Remake introduces a new puzzling item, the Red Jewel. This gemstone is embedded in the Scepter, held by a statue in the Art Room of the Raccoon City Police Department. To obtain it, players must combine the Red Book with the Statue's Left Arm, which is found in the Library. The combined item can then be used on the statue to release the Scepter.
Once acquired, the Scepter can be rotated, and players can press a button on the shaft to release the Red Jewel. This unique mechanic adds a layer of challenge and reward to the game that hasn't been seen before in the remake or the original Resident Evil 2. Here's everything you need to know about Resident Evil 2 Remake's Red Jewel, including its usage and benefits.
How to Obtain the Red Jewel
To obtain the Red Jewel in Resident Evil 2 Remake, players must head to the Art Room in the Raccoon City Police Department. There, they will find a statue holding a scepter, along with the Red Book and the Statue's Left Arm. By combining the Red Book with the Statue's Left Arm, players can create the Hand Hook. Using the Hand Hook on the statue will release it, allowing players to take the Scepter and acquire the Red Jewel.
The Function of the Red Jewel
The Red Jewel is a special item that can be used to open the Bejeweled Box, located in the Interrogation Room. Inside the box, players will discover the STARS Badge, which can be inspected to convert it into a USB Key.
Using the USB Key, players can unlock the Armory in the STARS Office. Inside the Armory, players will find a powerful weapon that is specific to their character. For example, Leon will obtain the Lightning Hawk, a .50-caliber magnum that inflicts devastating damage. On the other hand, Claire will receive the MQ11, a submachine gun with an incredibly fast firing speed.
After acquiring the weapon, players can convert the USB Dongle back into the STARS Badge. The STARS Badge is the key to unlocking a locked chest in the Underground Stair area. Inside the chest, players will discover a modification for the weapon obtained from the Armory. The Lightning Hawk receives a Long Barrel, which further increases its damage, while the MQ11 receives a Suppressor, allowing it to be fired silently without alerting sound-sensitive enemies.
