Gerudo Desert Side Quests
Want to know about all the Gerudo Desert side quests? While the main story will take you to Gerudo Town several times, exploring the desert and its shops can be just as fun. You’ll also have the chance to aid Riju, the current leader in protecting Gerudo Town from monsters and villains.
Tears of the Kingdom has multiple regions, as you’re able to explore new places with each chapter while also completing the main story. Within each region though, there are many areas to visit, and side quests to complete. We’ve already discussed general side quests in Gerudo Town in our overview, as well as quests that you can complete immediately after finishing Riju of Gerudo Town. This guide will cover the rest of the quests that you can complete in Gerudo Desert once the main story has progressed enough.
Unlocking Side Quests in Gerudo Town
In the vast deserts of Hyrule, there are characters who will request your help in their personal tasks. The side quests in Gerudo Desert can be completed from Hyrule Field, but you may want to check out our guide on how to fast travel in Tears of the Kingdom.
Most of these quests remain available throughout the game, with a few being locked until certain portions of the main story. For example, Guarding the Keep becomes unavailable once the Rock Bridge is destroyed. Nonetheless, we’ve listed some general quests that you should be able to complete at any point in the game, even if you don’t have enough Tears of the King Seeds yet.
Completing Riju of Gerudo Town
The main story introduces you to Riju and her struggles as the leader of Gerudo Town. After working with her and Impa for a while, you’ll eventually be tasked with leading the attack on Yiga Hideout.
