Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Poes Farming Guide

Want to know how to farm the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Poes? During The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC, players were introduced to the Bargaining Statue and its statuesque imitation, the Poe. The Poes roam Hytopia seeking their lifeless brethren to set them free. In exchange, they grant the player items, trading karma for material goods.

Remember that the Poes spawn during a Blood Moon after visiting The Ghostly Table in Hateno Village. Due to their spawn schedule, they only appear in certain areas of the wasteland at any given time. This limits your options in terms of farming the Tears of the Kingdom Poes in Zelda, though they do respawn during Blood Moons. The amount also increases with the number of Royal Talon Gates and Field Tracks completed. If all else fails, you can simply wait for the next Blood Moon to get more Poes. However, if you want to farm specific versions to upgrade equipment, it does require a concerted effort and patience. Leaving the area before the Blood Moon ends prevents Poe from spawning, but since they respawn on a Blood Moon, you can set and forget this method.

How to find Poes in the Depths

There are two types of Poe types in the Depths, Grand Poes and Large Poes. Grand Poes offers up to 20 Poes and Large Poes offer five. The larger versions are also easier to spot, which makes them a better target for farming.

The deeper you get into the Depths, the more challenging it is to spot Poes. There are various shrines, flora, fauna, giant monsters, and unexplored corners that can keep players busy in the sprawling region. As such, it’s not guaranteed that you’ll return to an area you’ve already explored if you don’t remember where you’ve already been. For example, it’s easy to get distracted by the many Bomb flowers that dot the path to the Forgotten Tunnel.

Nonetheless, there are viable spots in the Depths wherein the Poes are more visible. They illuminate in the blackness, thus making them extremely easy to spot in dark areas. Check out our list of farming spots, and even if you’re reeling from the most recent Legend of Zelda: Four Diamonds surprise, we hope we can still guide you through the chaos.

The Abandoned Mines and the area underneath Korok Forest will yield the most Poe encounters. Players are likely to unlock these areas fairly early in their travels. Climbing to lofty heights before jumping into areas with a large number and special Poes will help players scout and jump down with a concrete plan. Dropping map markers for areas with larger groups or special Poes helps navigate through the dark Depths without losing track and could improve the overall speed of the search.

Here are all the possible Poe types:

They also mention eating Sundelion meals if players need to restore hearts broken and locked by gloom. This could be useful if you’re finding it difficult to farm Poes consistently.

That’s everything you need to know about how to farm Poes in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. We also have a guide on which Tears of the Kingdom foods and drinks to eat during the first major expansion.
