How to Get Majora’s Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Want to know how to get Majora’s Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Majora’s Mask is a fitting reward for your efforts, as the villainous mask itself plays a central role in The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom offers many masks for you to collect, but none are as satisfying to obtain as Majora’s Mask. You can only get the powerful mask after defeating five Lynels consecutively in The Depths below Hyrule. The catch is, you can only obtain Majora’s Mask after finishing the main story, so don’t go looking for it unless you’re done with the latest Zelda game.

To acquire Majora’s Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must head to The Depths, specifically the Floating Coliseum, where you’ll battle a horde of Lynels. The Floating Coliseum is located in The Depths, near the Great Plateau North Hyrule Chasm, so you’ll want to head there as soon as you’re able.

The Floating Coliseum is pretty straightforward. You’ll want to head to the left first, where you’ll find a staircase leading up to a treasure chest. From here, head all the way downstairs, and then to the right. The entrance to the Coliseum is at the end of the corridor, at (1130, -1182, -0499). You can also reach the Coliseum by jumping in from the side near the Lightroot.

Before you head inside, it’s a good idea to place a Travel Medallion near the entrance so you don’t have to trek all the way back up every time. Inside the Floating Coliseum, you’ll see the chest containing Majora’s Mask. The problem is, there’s gloom blocking your path. The five Lynels are trapped in cages surrounding the chest, so you’ll want to take them out first.

There are five Lynels in total, and they tend to attack in a pack. The Lynels will use gloom to attack you, causing your hearts to drain. Bringing some gloom-healing meals made from Sundelions is a good idea for this fight.

To defeat the Lynels, you’ll want to take them on one at a time. Start by heading to the room on the left, and then take the scaffolding up to the top. There will be a platform on the right with a bomb flower, so grab it and head back downstairs.

Next, look for the cage with the first Lynel, and use the bomb flower to blow up the lock. You may need to use a few bomb flowers, but eventually, the Lynel will be free. The big problem is, now the Lynel will be able to move freely, and it will likely join the other four in attacking you.

The best solution is to take out the other four Lynels as well, then do a quick run to the last cage. Use the bomb flower to blast the lock off, then quickly run upstairs. There, you’ll be safe from the Lynels. Repeat this process for the other four Lynels, and the gloom around the chest will disappear, allowing you to obtain Majora’s Mask.

Once the last Lynel is defeated, the gloom around the chest disappears, and you’re free to obtain Majora’s Mask. As a side note, Majora’s Mask cannot be obtained by scanning the Majora’s Mask amiibo.

Majora’s Mask lets you be less noticeable to enemies in The Depths, so it’s a nice reward for braving the gloom in the Floating Coliseum. As for the combat itself, you’ll want to bring the strongest armor you can, and make sure to destroy the Lynel’s armor with bombs or hammers. Once the Lynel’s armor is destroyed, it’s easy to defeat them.

That’s everything you need to know to get Majora’s Mask in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
