The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
One Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom fan has taken their creativity to the next level by building a motorbike out of spare parts and transforming it into a fully-functional jet ski. Leveraging the newly revealed Ultrahand ability in Link's latest adventure, players have been constructing various vehicles to explore the vast sandbox environments.
While many of these creations are simple, such as boats and rechargeable electric cars, this particular jet ski stands out for its complexity and ability to be driven around. This fan has even gone a step further by crafting a working parasol for the rider using spare materials.
User Shak404 first showcased this ingenious creation on Reddit, demonstrating the floating vehicle in action as it traverses one of the game's stunning locales. By utilizing Link's Ultrahand ability, players can combine different spare materials to fashion their own unique creations.
Players have exhibited impressive ingenuity, constructing functional vehicles like algorims, buggies, and even rival Moblins using this newfound ability. Unlike other floating contraptions, this jet ski can navigate both land and water and boasts an extended battery life. However, it still has a few issues with balance, sometimes flipping upright when knocked over. Nevertheless, it represents a significant leap in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom contraptions.
The creator explains that the jet ski was designed to be lightweight for effortless maneuvering through the water. Despite its increased length compared to the original bike form, it maintains a remarkable balance, thanks in part to the rider's sturdy positioning at the front, made from cardboard boxes and similar materials.
Initially, the design had a flaw that would cause the rider to be tipped off their seat when bumped. However, the creator quickly rectified this issue to ensure a secure ride. To demonstrate its capabilities further, Shak404 also includes a clip of the jet ski gracefully floating alongside several boxes attached for balance.
The builder estimates that it took approximately five hours to complete and mentions that devices like shock emitters and fans can be equipped for upgrades. The jet ski arrives equipped with functional Zonai fans, which can be attached to enhance movement, expanding the creative possibilities.
Furthermore, accessories like fans and shock emitters provide balancing effects to vehicles. Players have been incorporating items such as fans, boards, and metal containers from the RPG game's Device Dispensers to influence their vehicles. For added convenience, players can utilize Link's Autobuild ability to quickly rebuild recently created vehicles, saving significant time and effort.
