A rare 1998 Pokemon TCG card

A rare 1998 Pokemon TCG card is up for Auction, with the starting bid set at $50,000. The Silver 2nd-2nd Tournament #2 Trophy Pikachu would be the most valuable Pokemon card ever printed, easily surpassing the record set by vlogger Logan Paul, who bought a Grade 10 Illustrator Pikachu for $5,275,000 in 2021.

Officially graded by PSA as GEM MT 10, the highest possible condition, the 1998 Pokemon card was the second-place prize for the 1997-1998 Japanese Lizardon Mega Battle Pokemon tournament events. That means it’s potentially as old as 26 years, making it a highly limited card.

There are only 14 of these cards believed to exist, and it’s extremely unlikely that it will surpass the price paid for the Illustrator Pikachu. That said, this card will almost certainly sell for a substantial amount, potentially making the owner very wealthy.
