Want to know how to become an avid beekeeper in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town? Honey and jelly are just two of the items you can create with your bees, but you need to have the right tools and flowers to attract the little critters.

Beekeeping in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is one of many farm life tasks players can undertake. Players must grow crops, plants, trees, and more in the Farming game, with different tasks giving them Skill Levels to rank up. One of the available skills in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town is Beekeeping, which is unlocked once players obtain their first beehive.

How to be an avid beekeeper in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town

To become an avid beekeeper and use beehives to produce honey and jelly, players must expand their farm into the third area. First, they need to repair the dilapidated bridge using crafting materials or money. The amount spent determines how long it takes to complete the repairs, which can take up to a day.

Once players have access to the final area, they need to find the dilapidated Beehive on the left. Note that this Beehive can only be repaired using materials. To repair it, players need Honeycomb, Wooden Boards, and Nails.

Materials needed to repair the Beehive:

  • Honeycomb
  • Wooden Boards
  • Nails

Once players have gathered all the necessary materials, they can go to the crafting menu and create the tool. Just like the bridge repairs, it takes one day to complete the task.

After repairing the Beehive, players can purchase more Beehives from Nigel’s Handiworks in town. These hives can be used to grow different types of honey, but specific flowers are needed to attract bees to the hive.

Players need to use a flower to insert in the hive, but not all flowers work. The flowers must have a quality rating. Flowers with bronze, silver, or gold stars in the top left corner can be found growing wild, grown by the player, purchased, or obtained from the Sprite Shop or Flower Shop in town.

The type of flower used determines the type of hive received. For example, using a Red Rose will result in a Rose Hive. There are other flowers with unique hives, such as Blue Rose, Lily, and Cosmos.

After inserting a flower, the bees will come to the hive. It takes a few days before players can harvest their hives to improve their Beekeeping Skill level.

Once players reach Beekeeping Skill Level 3, they can unlock the Honey Maker, a tool that converts hives into honey or jelly. Specific materials are needed to craft the Honey Maker.

Now that you know how to become a beekeeper in Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, you can start producing your own honey and jelly. With this in mind, it may be time to expand your farm to its maximum size to accommodate all of your hives.
